Avoiding Mergers

Image
I chose this photo to represent avoiding mergers because in the image, there is a large distracting crane in the background that is stealing the attention from the men in the center of the photo.

Framing

Image
I chose this photo to represent framing because the main focus in the image, the man, is surrounded by objects that frame him and adds depth to the photo.

Balance

Image
I chose this photo to represent balance because in has the perfect balance of colors. When you look at this image it will make the viewer more relaxed because the colors all match.

Lines

Image
I chose this photo to represent lines because the repetitive lines will draw the viewers attention to the person which is the main focus in this image. The complicated background makes the viewers eye look for something solid which is the person in this photo.

Rule of Thirds

Image
I chose this photo to represent rule of thirds because the main object that the photographer wants you to focus on is not in the center of the picture. Instead the people on the ladder are slightly in the bottom right corner of the picture.

Simplicity

Image
I chose this photo to represent simplicity because having the solid blue sky as the background lets you focus more in on the buildings and the smoke which is the main focus of the picture. There is nothing in the background that is camouflaging the buildings or smoke into anything.

The Camera

1. The "Camera Obscura" effect is when light is coming from the camera and projecting on to the wall in a dark room. It is created when you are in a dark room and there is a small hole in one wall where it is focused and the outside scene is projected upside-down on the other wall. 2. In the 17th century the high quality glass lens helped man come one step closer to creating the modern camera. 3. The parts of the modern camera were a glass lens, a dark box, and a film. 4. modern digital cameras and Niepce's camera both allow light too pass through the lens, into the camera, and expose the film which both result in a picture. 5.  digital cameras capture the images with an electronic sensor called a CCD. 6. On auto mode t he camera will completely control flash and exposure. 7. On program mode you just point and shoot. 8. On sports mode the  camera will use the highest shutter speed possible to freeze motion. 9. On manual mode  the photographer has to set both the s

First Day Photos

Image
I liked this photo because the main focus in the photo is on the girl and it is really sharp and everything behind her is blurry so it won't take the attention away from her. I picked this picture because it was a very bright and colorful picture that will really catch the eye. Something that I did to make this photo better is that I made sure that the flower was a flattering color against her blonde hair and blue eyes and the light colored scenery behind her. I liked this picture because the angle that it was taken at shows a great perspective of the height of the tree. The bark on the tree is really sharp starting from the base all the way to the top, and the color contrast between the the backlit branches and the green leaves vs the blue sky and white clouds is really nice. Something that I did that made this photo better is I used a flash when taking it so that it really enhances the bark so that not everything is dark.

Welcome to my Blog

The reason why I am in Photo 1 this year is because I have always had a passion for photography and  I thought that taking a class that revolves all around photography sounds like an amazing class to start taking my freshman year of high school, so that I can advance in this class throughout the years.
