Academic Shoot Reflection and Critique



1. Some challenges that I encountered while trying to take my photos yesterday were probably trying to capture someone working with out them turning up blurring in the picture and having people not pose for the photo.

 2. I found myself concentrating the most on making sure my camera was focused at all times.

 3.I would try to make sure that I focused more on following the composition rules while taking the photos.

 4. I would probably take the photos at the dame angles and focus the camera the same.

 5. Rule of thirds and focusing the camera.

 6.  Simplicity and balance.

 7. Balance and I can go over the slide show.

1. When I was looking at the photos of African wildlife I noticed that all of the animals in the pictures looked really majestic and fierce. These images also show the real beauty of all these creatures in their natural habitat. As well as showing what life is like for those animals daily, catching and eating their prey, and taking care of their young. 2.  3. The Camera

1. The "Camera Obscura" effect is when light is coming from the camera and projecting on to the wall in a dark room. It is created when you are in a dark room and there is a small hole in one wall where it is focused and the outside scene is projected upside-down on the other wall. 2. In the 17th century the high quality glass lens helped man come one step closer to creating the modern camera. 3. The parts of the modern camera were a glass lens, a dark box, and a film. 4. modern digital cameras and Niepce's camera both allow light too pass through the lens, into the camera, and expose the film which both result in a picture. 5.  digital cameras capture the images with an electronic sensor called a CCD. 6. Magazines Part 2

1) Image Based- Image Based magazine covers are the most common because they have less objects in it which make it more clean/ simple and less busy looking. Celebrities or fashion usually take place on the cover, and side shots can cause a more dramatic feel to the photo. 2) Illustration Based- Illustration Based magazines are not so common now as they used to be in the mid 20's and 30's but are now used more for comedic effect, or to present something funny. The magazine covers that use illustrated covers are independently published magazines that do not rely on newsstand sales. Also the illustration can draw eyes to it if it is drawn properly but, at the same time it is risky. 3) Type Based- Type Based magazines are also not very common but more common than the illustration magazines.
