Famine in Somalia
1. I picked this image because it looked really sad and I wanted to know the story behind it, what caught my eye was the people in the photo.
2. The photographer couldn't get a assignment in 1992 for the spiraling famine in Somalia, So he decided to go there by himself and he took this photo of a woman waiting to be bring to the feeding area. The price in Somalia raised so many people couldn't afford the food they need. The red cross saw this new thing and helped, over 1.5 million people.
3. I learned from the video was that a war was in Somalia and they only allowed certain people to get food and a lot of the population was starving because of this. The photographer was taking photos to raise awareness of this terrible thing that was happening. It ended up saving millions of people's lives.
